All About the Town of Old Lyme, CT

The coastal town of Old Lyme, CT was founded in 1855 and is home to about 7,000 residents. There are several beaches to enjoy, and some residents rent out their homes during the summer. Lyme Street is the main street of the town and features a historic district with many homes that were once owned by sea captains. Old Lyme is home to electronics company Sennheiser as well as the Florence Griswold Museum and the Lyme Art Association. The town is home to Rogers Lake, which is stocked annually with brook and rainbow trout, and features five small islands.
